ABOUT US

Our Story

Daytona Sales Company Limited was started on august 5, 1948 by Vivian and Harry Dayes at 136d Orange Sreet in Kingston. Originally, the company ran a rural bus service called “Enterprise Buses”, and sold prestigious motor vehicles such as Opel, Borgward, Volvo and Jaguar.

By 1974, the policies on the importation of motor vehicles into Jamaica had become restrictive, with Daytona’s quota for the year becoming only 50 motor vehicles. In an effort to expand the business, the directors shifted direction and began to concentrate on the automotive parts trade.

By 1978, after frequent break-ins and robberies, the decision was then made to acquire a new property in Cross Roads. On October 15, 1979, Daytona closed the Orange Street location and moved to it’s present location at 7d Marescaux Road, Kingston 5. We are now retailers and wholesalers of Automotive Spares, stocking a wide range of service items such as brakes, filters, oils and chemicals. We also offer steering, suspension, engine and body parts for popular vehicle models.
